Experience
I began my career in the financial industry, but I then learned that my true calling is teaching. I worked as an investment banker for two years in New York, and I then spent another year working in private equity in Boston. Due to my background, I am great at tutoring students in Business, Accounting, Economics, Statistics, and Finance. I also love to teach Math, and I can teach Pre-calculus, Calculus, College Algebra, Algebra 1, Algebra 2, Pre-Algebra, Geometry, and Middle School Math. In addition, I also enjoy getting students ready to tackle the SAT test, and I feel this is an important test to master, because a good score can lead to a better college education. When I tutor, I customize my teaching style to fit each individual student's style of learning, and my goal is for every student to completely master the material I am teaching. I also teach students how what they are currently studying relates to the real world, and with my background in the financial industry, I am great at doing that in the subjects I tutor. I first attended Washington and Lee University where I earned my bachelor's degree in Accounting and Business. Since I have learned that I love to teach, I am now enrolled at the Johns Hopkins School of Education pursuing my master's degree in Education. I played lacrosse at Washington and Lee, and I still love to play in competition leagues. I also enjoy playing hockey, football, and squash.
