Ruth C.

Private tutor in Baltimore, MD

Education

Freshman biochemistry major, spanish minor at University of Maryland Baltimore County

Experience

In high school I was in the Communication Arts Program at Montgomery Blair High School, where took AP US Government, AP World History, Journalism, U.S. History, Research Methods, and of course several English classes. I was also able to take AP Biology, Biochemistry, Cellular Biology, and Genetic Biology. After I graduated high school, I took a gap year, during which I lived and worked abroad in Ecuador for four months. Now I attend UMBC, and am working to get a biochemistry major so I can study neurology. I would like to be a tutor because as someone who struggled throughout high school, I know a little extra help can really make a difference.

I like to think I have a pretty good sense of humor, and I pride myself on being very compassionate and understanding. I'm very fond of superheroes and sci-fi, so I guess you could describe me as a nerd. I'm very passionate about human and environmental rights. I also really enjoy art and music. I love science and history and anything that helps explain why the world is the way it is.
