I'm a tutor who is currently based in Washington, DC, where I enjoy playing basketball, reading, and cooking when I'm not working with students. I have my bachelor's degree in sociology from Muhlenberg College where I also received minors in philosophy and English. As a tutor, I'm able to provide lessons in a variety of subject areas, including math, English, social science, and writing. I have a professional background in non-profit work. I recently returned from South Africa, where I worked with a social innovation center to evaluate the area's civil society and government programs. I've also been working with the Harvard Ash Center to document other South African innovation projects. I have an extensive background working as a tutor, which began when I started helping my peers with their classes in high school. I firmly believe that each student has the ability to succeed in any subject area with sufficient dedication and the right guidance. As a tutor, my job is to provide the guidance that my students need to get the most out of their classes. There's nothing quite like the feeling I get when I see a student finally begin to master a subject that has been bothering them for a long time.
