EducationJohns Hopkins University - Current Undergrad, Neuroscience and East Asian Studies
ExperienceI'm an East Asian studies and neuroscience major at John Hopkins University. Though I am a freshman at JHU, I'm in Delta Epsilon Phi, Mu Alpha Theta, and the National Honor Society. As part of each organization, I have worked with other students to improve their knowledge of German, math, and science. I work with a local middle school robotics team, as well as offer lessons to violinists. Though I primarily tutor in those areas, I am also quite confident in Mandarin Chinese, English, and Korean. I can help students learn writing skills that can improve their ability to effectively communicate their thoughts. If a student is having trouble grasping the intricacies of English grammar and syntax, I can walk them through each concept in a way their professor might not have. Forming a relationship and getting to know students is an important aspect of tutoring. It allows me to understand their motivation behind learning, as well as what their weaknesses, strengths, and goals are. When I'm not tutoring or studying, I love to play music, particularly on the piano or violin. I love cooking for people. My friends and I play board games together regularly.
