Experience
I am a graduate of the University of Maryland-College Park, where I completed my B.S. in Mathematics and Physics. I began to consider myself somewhat of a math educator pioneer, so I became dedicated to pursuing math education. I completed my Master of Education in secondary Education (also at the U of M) and then completed my credentials to student teach at Montgomery Blair High School. I am now in the process of completing my Master of Science in Applied Mathematics at Towson University. I have many years of teaching experience with students from diverse backgrounds. I have taught high school Pre-Algebra, Algebra 1 and 2, Geometry, Precalculus, AP Calculus, and Consumer Math. I have also taught Developmental Math and Introductory Statistics for a Community College. I really enjoy tutoring math classes, as I believe they help teach students to think analytically. I begin tutoring sessions by assessing the student's goals. We then commence with a review of the basics, and then we build from there. I strive to help all of my students achieve their goals. In my free time, I love to travel, meet new people, and see new sights. I have already visited twenty-four countries, and I am not done yet! I also enjoy watching good movies. My favorites tend to be science fiction and independent movies.
