I am currently a student at Johns Hopkins University, where I am working towards a master's in public health as well as an M.D. I am from Australia originally, and I moved to the United States for study purposes. While I am now in medical school, my schedule is still flexible enough to work as a tutor.I offer lessons in a wide range of subjects, primarily in math and science. I also have experience tutoring anatomy and SAT preparation courses. Along with education, I have worked for five years as a tennis instructor. Coaching tennis has taught me a lot about teaching styles and how to better accommodate students' needs.I believe teaching is a rewarding experience. I love being able to participate in the academic process, where I contribute to the growth and development of a student. I love being able to work closely with students, helping them overcome their academic challenges and learn new concepts. Not only do I want to help students improve test scores and understand classroom materials, but I also work hard to inspire students to learn independently. Teaching students how to develop life skills that will help them outside academia is just as important as preparing them for tests.
