Experience
I attended Syracuse University, and in 2014 I graduated with a bachelor's in Spanish literature, language, and culture as well as a bachelor's in communication sciences and disorders. I am undertaking graduate study in speech language pathology from St. John's University, where I intend in pursuit of my master's.I spent a semester in Spain, where I lived in Madrid and enriched my understanding of the Spanish language and its culture. Since then, I have been tutoring a diverse range of people in Spanish, from elementary to high school courses. Having a background in communication disorder and speech language pathology, I am quite adept in assessing and improving my students' writing and grammar skills.I aim to create a positive learning experience by tailoring my lessons to suit my students' strengths and needs. I am able to achieve this outcome by establishing a rapport with my students, learning which teaching styles yield the best results for each individual. I am experienced working with children and teenagers, many of whom have learning deficiencies, and I have developed the necessary skills and patience to successfully teach my kids.When tutoring Spanish, I enjoy running, cooking, photography, and being outdoors. I am now training to run my first marathon.
