Experience
Spanish as Second Language teacher/ tutor since 2011. I have worked independently and I am currently a Teacher/ tutor freelancer on Elance. Identifying myself with the position of Spanish Education/ tutor; is my responsibility as a student and teacher of said Language, to stress the importance of the correct learning of the Spanish language in not only Spanish speaking countries but also in institutions and countries in which Spanish is not the main Language. In an increasingly global society, would be negligible to think that we can continue raising adults who speak only one language, who; no matter who they know or where they go, they will always find someone who speaks English. For the future of our children, we must begin to consider how to give them the advantage of being bilingual. Spanish is the most logical choice when it comes to learning a second language for most people in the United States. This country is bordered by Mexico and is geographically close to Latin America where Spanish is the primary language. Not to mention that Spanish-speaking Latinos are the fastest growing minority in the country, which is not far from becoming as large as the majority population. As a student, I consistently ranked top of my class and was frequently praised by my professors for my effort, dedication, responsibility, and love for the Spanish language. During my studies, I completed 87 educational credits with the corresponding courses: Literary Text Analysis, Phonetics and Phonology, Philosophy of Education, Introduction to Education, Morphology (Linguistics), Costa Rican Literature I, General Didactics, Human Development, Computer Education, Costa Rican Literature II, Introduction to Linguistics, Educational Psychology, Teaching Practice Seminar I, Fundamentals of Grammar, Latin, Didactic lesson planning, Grammar I (Simple Sentence), Measurement and Evaluation of Learning, Teaching Practice Seminar II, Psycholinguistics, Grammar II (Compound Sentence), Teaching Practice Seminar III, Classical Literature I (Greek), Universal literature, Grammar III (Speech), Social Psychology of Education, Classical Literature II (Latin), Diachrony of Spanish, Teaching Practice Seminar IV, Professional Ethics, Teaching Practice Seminar V.
