I am currently attending the University of South Florida, and when I was into my third year in college, I helped a French professor in teaching her classes, and assisting her in telling the students more about herself. When doing this, I created a syllabus for pupils and kept tutoring students as a freelance contractor over time. Since I was very experienced in French and also studied it extensively throughout school and for over thirty plus years, I have a great deal of knowledge to help students. I normally assess where each student is at with this subject when I first start tutoring them. My tutoring of each student depends upon my analysis as to how much they have learned, how fast of a learner they are, and so on. Because I have experience with both the French and English languages, this allows me to help a student with anything they need. I realize that when beginning to learn a new language, it can sometimes be very daunting and overwhelming. I oftentimes share short stories and try to compare/contrast the difference between cultures. I believe that having the knowledge, the drive, and being patient are essential to tutoring and also continuing to learn.
