Experience
I earned my bachelor's degree in Kinesiological Sciences with a concentration in physical culture at the University of Maryland. During my undergraduate education, I served as a tutor in subjects like algebra, anatomy, and organic chemistry. I then attended American University, where I earned my master's degree in Teaching. I am currently a medical student in Child Psychiatry at Johns Hopkins Medical School, and serve as a tutor in algebra, pre-calculus, and MCAT biological and physical sciences. I am a passionate educator, and I enjoy helping my students achieve their academic goals. I consider the time I spend getting to know my students' individual preferences, strengths, and challenges well spent, as I like to fine tune my own approaches to learning accordingly. No two students learn in the same way, so creating a tutoring plan that fits the student's learning style and goals is essential. I am an enthusiastic, empathetic tutor, and I love sharing my knowledge with each of my students. In my spare time, I like cheering on D.C.-area sports teams, exercising, and learning more about existential philosophy.
