I am an experienced classroom teacher and tutor, and I hold a master's degree in Education that I earned at Johns Hopkins University. I performed my undergraduate studies at Georgia Tech, and there I earned my bachelor's degree in Psychology. I am passionate about helping others achieve their academic goals, and I personally love to both learn and teach. I have experience as an elementary school classroom teacher, and I have tutored people of all ages, from young children to college students. My favorite subjects to teach are all elementary level classes and science and math at all levels. When I tutor, I strive to help students improve in their classes while having some fun. I first determine where a student's current knowledge lies in a subject and what their learning style is. I then help them build their knowledge up to where it needs to be by using teaching techniques that work well for the individual student. I feel personal pride when helping others to meet their educational goals by giving them the support they need to achieve them. When not teaching or tutoring, I have many hobbies. I love art, salsa dancing, playing sports, running, and simply exploring the outdoors. I also like to read good books and watch great movies, and I enjoy spending quality time with my friends, family, and my cat named Squirrel.
