Playing on the Furman University football team taught me the value of school and how education plays into the bigger picture in life. While playing, I studied engineering and I also worked with teammates who needed assistance with math and science. The time spent helping teammates marks the first time I ever tutored. During that time, I discovered the value of helping my friends learn. The actual teaching helped me as well. It solidified concepts for me. Now I manage an aerospace laboratory. My work demands exceptional organization and leadership skills. I help new hires learn how to conduct proper testing and more.Tutoring and football also taught me that motivation proves essential to all success. Successful teachers and coaches know how to use this motivation. I get to know my students so I know what motivates them, as well as what might motivate them. I do this whether working with them on varying types of math from the most basic forms to forms like finite mathematics. I also teach science subjects of varying degrees of difficulty. Outside of work, I love sports!
