In 2007, I earned a degree in Film Production when I attended Emerson College. Now, I am going back to school and attending Johns Hopkins University. I am hoping to become a nurse. Since graduating, I have taught at the high school level, working with students with both learning and emotional disabilities. I typically helped them learn Science and Math, although we worked on other subjects as well.I worked as a residential counselor for a year through AmeriCorps. It allowed me to help students in my hometown of Baltimore. I have come to enjoy teaching and helping others. I make sure to tailor my techniques to meet each student's needs, as everyone has different learning abilities. I also understand the benefit of providing encouragement to give students the confidence they need to excel. I work with students on a variety of subjects, from basic Math and Science, to more difficult topics like Algebra, Biology, Anatomy, and even Pharmacology.My free time is spent reading. This is an attempt to not only unwind, but also learn more. I also take time to ski and go camping, as I love the outdoors. My pug, Quinn, also takes up a good amount of my time.
