I currently work for Outward Bound, a nonprofit educational organization and expedition school. I have a passion for educating both in and outside of the classroom and am pursuing tutoring because I would like to use my educational experience and skills to directly impact the future opportunities of students of all ages in the Baltimore region. I have been tutoring informally on and off for the past 6 years. My instructing experience with Outward Bound has provided me with various teaching models and a diverse curriculum, providing space for learning in a fun environment.

Hobbies
I am an avid reader and rarely leave the house without my Kindle in hand--historical fiction/nonfiction and fantasy/sci-fi are the best! I love being outdoors and going on adventures, in particular I enjoy hiking and extended backpacking trips and kayaking. I've played sports my whole life (tennis and basketball are my favorites) and this winter I'm playing on a co-ed competitive basketball team! I have two wonderfully athletic and sweet Jack Russell Terriers named Tom and Stella.
