Experience
In 2012, I graduated from the University of Maryland - College Park with a Bachelor of Science degree. Afterwards, I completed a teaching course for graduate students, where I received my teacher's certification. I am currently finishing the last year of my master's program, where I will graduate with a Master of Education. I've been tutoring since I was in high school, where I would help elementary students prepare for tests and complete homework assignments. I also have experience working as a teacher in Washington, DC, where I've helped a number of students overcome their educational obstacles and improve their learning experiences, especially pupils who speak English as their second language. For me, the best part of being an educator is being able to teach students how to use the information they've learned in the classroom to help them solve problems in the real world. While teaching can be challenging at times, I find that there's no greater feeling than watching students overcome their academic hurdles and reach their true potential. For this reason, I like to take a hands-on approach when teaching, so that students don't only memorize textbook material, but also learn how to practically apply it outside of the classroom.
