For over eight years I was a teacher, and taught various subjects, including a general curriculum to third and fourth graders, Algebra, Spanish, Theater Arts, and English as a Second Language. I also taught English overseas, and have a love of diverse cultures. I'm currently a doctoral student completing an internship as a school psychologist. I have years of experience tutoring students from kindergarten through college. My tutoring areas include Elementary School Math, Middle School Math, Arithmetic, Pre-Algebra, Phonics, Reading, Science, Writing, English, Special Education, ESL/ELL, and College English. My internship has given me the opportunity to understand more about the different learning disabilities and challenges that some students face during their school years, and how best to pinpoint strategies to best help those students develop the skills to help them learn. I feel my well-rounded education, experiences, and background in psychology and counseling have all contributed to making me a superb tutor to work with you or your student. I have a passion for traveling and learning new languages and cultures. I'm an avid fan of the theater, and I also love spending time hiking outside and enjoying nature.
