Everyone learns differently. It is my job to find the best methods for my students to succeed beyond what they previously thought themselves capable. In the past, I've used 3-D models to visually represent complex concepts, but every learning tool should always be considered. Every tutoring session must always be individually tailored to the student. I also believe it is vitally important to explore test taking strategies and stress management skills before exam time rolls around. It is not uncommon for the most exceptional students to be overcome with anxiety, which will ultimately be reflected on their final score, unless they are prepared for the pressure.I've worked with a large range of students in subjects focusing largely in the areas of the biological, chemical, and physical sciences. At one point, I had the pleasure of conducting a workshop concentrated on organic and physical chemistry. Another area where I have had marked success is tutoring students to master all sections of the MCAT, which can be a daunting challenge for anyone. My own academic background includes Duke University and Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, where I am presently a MD/PhD student in their elite teaching hospital. When time permits, I like a healthy run and good food with friends.
