I received my B.S. in Biology from the University of California, San Diego where I graduated Summa Cum Laude. In 2007, I obtained my Masters in Biology and Mathematics from UMBC. I am also certified in both Biology and Math in the State of Maryland. I am currently a Chemistry instructor at Towson University.
Experience
I am a Math and Biology high school teacher with over 10 years of teaching and tutoring experience. I absolutely love teaching and realized early on that every student learn differently. My goal is to identify and create a personalized learning program tailored to the individual needs of my students allowing them to move at their own pace and demonstrate mastery in each subject area. Teaching is my passion. I am great with problem solving and can show my students how to approach and solve difficult problems. I tutor students from 5th grade to college level. While my certification is in Math and Science, I also teach Reading and Writing and French as I am a French native so I can definitely help students not only with their French grammar and conversation. I help students with their study skills and time management but most importantly, I focus on increasing students' confidence in their ability. I also specialize in preparing students for the SAT, PSAT, ACT, ISEE and ASVAB and I have demonstrated ample success helping students increase their scores and meet their target scores on their entrance exams.
