Experience
In addition to my exhaustive formal training in Spanish, I also was fortunate enough to study abroad in Argentina. There, I further developed and practiced by ability to read, speak and write Spanish. In addition to my regular coursework in Buenos Aires, I volunteered to perform several English tutoring sessions with an alternative education program for teenagers and adults. Bachilleratos populares, as they are known there, are nonprofit education organizations that help students take general courses after work hours. The bachillerato popular that I worked at was in a metal factory and helped workers learn English among other things. It was a phenomenal experience and since then I have wanted to teach Spanish classes of my own. My philosophy is that learning about a culture and learning a language go hand in hand. I would love the opportunity to help you or your child develop a proficiency in the Spanish language.
