I'm currently pursuing a Master of Science in Molecular Microbiology and Immunology from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. I graduated with a B.S. in Biology with Highest Honors from New Mexico Tech in 2013, where I also minored in chemistry.
Experience
I volunteered in a student writing center in New Mexico, where I helped proof-read student papers and lab reports. In addition, I have experience in science writing obtained through several internships at Johns Hopkins and Sandia National Laboratories. I scored 35 out of 36 possible points on both the English and Reading portions of the ACT. In addition to reading comprehension and writing, I'm comfortable tutoring math through Calculus I. I have a strong background in math and science, and have taken courses through Calc III and Differential Equations. I've tutored my younger sister and several of her friends in algebra and calculus. I'm happy to start at any point during the school year to help prepare for exams, proofread papers, or help with homework! I know how tough writing and math can be!

Hobbies
If I have a ton of free time, I love backpacking, and traveling. I spent a year abroad in the UK, and loved it! Unfortunately, the busy life a graduate student limits me to more reasonable adventures, like cycling, hiking, and reading in coffee shops.
