Experience

During my undergraduate study I tutored students in logic and constitutional law. After working as an analyst for the federal government for a short time, I left public service and went to law school. The Juris Doctor,in my opinion, is the most diverse of all graduate degrees in that I was required to master a variety of skills, including organization, study skills, research, writing, analysis, logic, communication, public speaking, and the ability to learn new topics quickly. After law school I worked for a short time as a recruiter for UB law, and now work for the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services where I've had the opportunity to use the skills developed in law school. I do everything from legal research and writing, to statistical analysis working with large data files. I manage projects and mentor/train coworkers in a variety of areas. It might sound cliche, but I really love learning and and believe that it is a collaborative process; I plan to teach at the college level in the next year or two, and in the meantime am looking forward to working with students to not only learn particular subjects (whatever it may be) but to develop skills for future study that will enable them to embrace the challenge of advanced, new and interesting subjects.
