I am currently majoring in writing seminars at Johns Hopkins University. I enjoy working with students of all abilities and ages and I have extensive experience doing so. I have experience working with students that have different comprehension levels, different learning styles, and different personalities. My goal as a tutor is to identify these differences in my students and adapt the way I teach to fit with whatever I feel will work best for them. I have had experience with poor teachers and have made it a priority to not do what they did. I want to make my lessons as fun as possible. I want my students to understand that learning can be fun and make every effort to keep them engaged in the subject material. I am hardworking, reliable, and adaptable and I place a high emphasis on creating an environment where my students can be both confident and comfortable. This type of environment helps students find success both outside and inside of the classroom. I can tutor students in a variety of areas, including English, writing, United States history, pre-algebra, social studies, European history, and geometry. My hobbies include spending time with friends, watching Netflix, painting, debating, playing tennis, and reading.
