I earned my bachelor's in sociology at Kenyon College and my masters from Oxford University. In addition to tutoring my peers, I assisted in admissions at my schools, where I gained valuable insight to what institutions look for in applications and essays. I enjoy working with students who are struggling academically, helping them improve their skills to achieve success. I work hard to develop a connection with each student. I treat them with respect, creating a calming environment that is conducive to their learning. I believe understanding, compassion, and patience are invaluable to the learning process. I help my students master the concepts they are having trouble in, whether they need assistance in preparing for the GRE, reviewing the basics of neuroscience, or developing their study skills. I can teach testing strategies that work well with the student's learning style to improve their scores. In addition to tutoring various subjects, I also provide students with college interview coaching, guidance counselling, and application essays to improve their chances of getting into the school of their choosing. When I'm not tutoring or studying, I spend a lot of my free time reading. I spend time with my friends, often playing video games or watching sports.
