As a youngster, I was constantly drawn to and admired physicians who worked tirelessly to help others, especially the underprivileged. Three years ago, I joined the rank of medical professionals who I respected so much when I graduated from Punjab Medical College and earned my M.D. While I was excited to have finally realized my dream, I knew there was more I needed to do and had to do. That's why I began tutoring nursing students, so they could realize their potential too. I am currently at the University of Maryland Medical Center where I am conducting clinical research in the Neurocritical Care Department. In addition, I also work at Johns Hopkins University part time. When I am not doing research, I am very focused on prep for the United States Medical Licensing Examination. I also have taken the MCAT. My experience in preparation for both these exams helped me understand multiple test-taking strategies and how to prepare for the pressure that comes with these tests. With my medical degree, my background in the sciences is very strong, especially in Chemistry, Biology, and Physics. And, I remain passionate about sharing knowledge, which is evident by the time I spend tutoring other students.
