I lectured this past spring at Gettysburg College, and taught two sections of Biological Basis of Disease. This is a non-majors course. In 2014, I was awarded a PhD in Biology from Johns Hopkins University. I was also a Dean's Teaching Fellow who taught Biology at Johns Hopkins University. Additional tutoring experience includes teaching courses that include Biochemistry, Biophysics, and other subjects within the discipline. For the past four years, I have tutored a number of subjects.I enjoy tutoring because I know how difficult many of the Science courses can be. When students struggle, their confidence suffers. One of my main philosophies in tutoring is to lay the groundwork whereby students will develop an amazing reservoir of confidence. Successful test taking for many students is the result of having overcome testing jitters.They know their material, and they have the right study habits and learning processes in place. They are mentally prepared and ready when it comes time to take tests. My experience and knowledge can help you gain the confidence needed to get you through college and throughout life.
