I am currently an undergraduate at Johns Hopkins University. I'm in my junior year in college, working on my B.A in Natural Science. My main focus is on public health and biology and I have also selected a minor in music. Once I have completed my degree, I will be going to nursing school to become a Nurse Practitioner. I first began tutoring children during my secondary school years in all subjects including music, writing, math, and more. I am originally from Germany and I entered the U.S to attend college. At Johns Hopkins, I became a peer tutor for German and Calculus through the student tutoring service. One of my most rewarding moments in tutoring is when a student says, "Let me try the next problem by myself. I think I have this down." Hearing those words is how I know that I have done my best job as a tutor and that the pupil has done their best job in understanding and retaining knowledge. Sharing knowledge is one of my passions, so being a tutor has been highly rewarding for me. Being outside is also another passion. I enjoy spending summers at the beach and winters on the ski slopes for snowboarding. When I am inside, I enjoy drawing and playing with my dogs and cat.
