Experience
I attended Loyola University in Maryland and obtained my bachelor's degree in English. I went on to attend the University of Maryland in College Park and received my master's degree in Library Information Science. I have over three decades of experience in both teaching and working as a librarian. In the past I have taught English at a private boys high school in Loyola and also worked with special needs students in a private K-12 school. After spending time teaching in a traditional K-12 school setting, I went on to work at Johns Hopkins University where I was a distance education librarian. I truly enjoy all facets of education and learning. I teach all aspects of English including reading, grammar and mechanics, and writing essays. I am also able to work with students on French, as well as having experience with ESL/ELL students. My greatest privilege in my professional career is seeing the students experience the joy of success. I enjoy developing a sense of trust with each client so we can work together to study concepts or build their skills together.When I am not working with students, I enjoy reading a good book, as well as the performance arts.
