Experience
I am enrolled in a bachelor's degree program at Johns Hopkins University. I am pursing a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Engineering. My education related tutoring experience includes tutoring individual secondary students in math, science, and French, and teaching STEM subject matter at the i2 summer camp. At the camp, I taught classes in nanotechnology, exploring energy and design thinking, and colonizing the moon. It was great fun! I've tutored math to students of a variety of ages, ranging from kindergarten aged to college level. I most at ease when I tutor math students but I can assist with SAT and AP test prep and scientific topics, as well as physics and French. I believe teaching math is logical, challenging, and fun. When I tutor, I always aim to build upon a student's current base of knowledge. I also go back and fill in any gaps in knowledge they might have, because math builds on itself and missing any of the earlier concepts can cause troubles down the line in the future. My tutoring style is playful and challenging. When I'm not studying or tutoring, I like to travel, practice speaking French or Arabic with other speakers, or spend time with my pets.
