Experience
I am a 9th to 12th grade biology teacher in Baltimore City. Also advising and mentoring youngsters in after school programs, I am impassioned by education and believe it enables all students to pursue and achieve their goals. Every student is unique and I think they best succeed when their education fits their own individual needs. I enjoy teaching history and science the most (this is where my tutoring practice is focused) but do tutor in chemistry, environmental science, mathematics, American/European history, social studies, and test prep. One of my goals is for students to be self-sufficient and goal-oriented beyond high school, our tutoring sessions, and even outside their academic careers.I hold a Bachelor of Arts in History, and minor in French and Francophone studies, from Pennsylvania State University. In addition, I also attended Johns Hopkins University and live in my hometown of Baltimore, Maryland. When not teaching in the local school system or tutoring to help kids succeed and promote my passion for education, I like to read, run, and work out. I am also an advocate for education reform and have an interest in social media and branding. Traveling is a favorite pastime for me.
